NORA SYLVIA FERRELL
(January 14, 1928 - October 30, 2011)

Nora Sylvia Berry Ferrell, 83 of Ona, WV, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011 at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington.  She was born January 14, 1928 in Cabell County, WV the daughter of the late Irvin and Ina (Black) Bowen.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Merida Ferrell in 1998 and one son, Jerry Allen Ferrell; two sisters, Beulah McDonald and Grace Esque; five brothers, Lester, Irvin, Albert, James and Glenn Bowen. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011 at Henson Mortuary, Barboursville, WV, with Rev. Ray Vance officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Cemetery, Huntington.  She is survived by one son, Lonnie Berry (Frances) of Lavalette, WV, two sisters, Georgia Ferris of Huntington, WV and Shirley Ann Neal of Ona, WV; two brothers, Richard Bowen of Scott, MI. and Donald Bowen both of Ona, WV; grandchildren, William Miller (Susanne) of Dayton, OH, David Miller of Huntington, WV and Lonnie Berry II. (Kerry) of Kenova, WV, Donald Berry of Lavalette; great-grandchildren, Kaylin, Alyssa and Lyndsey Miller, Jayce, Kyle and Zaylex Berry and Evan Bleigh; one special niece and nephew, Haley and Alex Neal of Ona, WV. She was a member of 5th Ave. Freewill Baptist Church and was a retired cook. The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011 at Henson Mortuary, Barboursville, WV.
