JACK F. KYLE
(December 15, 1924 - April 23, 2015)

Jack F. Kyle, born on December 15, 1924 in Belle Vernon, PA. to Fred and Martha Kyle. Jack just celebrated his 90th birthday with a festive party surrounded by family and friends. He lived a very full life of many activities and accomplishments. Jack married his high school sweetheart, Grace Wells in 1944, and they eventually shared almost 60 years together before her death in 2002. After serving in the Army Air Corps during WWII, he began his career in the steel industry, first with U.S. Steel in Pittsburg, PA and then with W.Va. Steel and Manufacturing in Huntington, W.Va. (later Conners Steel Division of HK Porter Co and then Steel of W.Va.) He retired as Manager of Sales for Steel of W.Va. Jack participated extensively as a member of Rotary. He served terms as treasurer and secretary and was made an honorary member for his many years of service. An avid golfer, he enjoyed playing many well-known courses during the travels he and Grace made as well as at both Spring Valley and Guyan Country Club where they were members. He was particularly proud of making three holes-in-one! Jack enjoyed traveling to many locations across the U.S. as well as to Hawaii and Alaska. He also enjoyed three trips to Paris France and especially valued his visit to Normandy. Jack gave back to his community in many ways. After training, he worked on the helpline for Contact, took part in several service activities through Rotary, and was ever-willing to volunteer for anything his daughters asked. Jack and his family were long time members of Enslow Park Presbyterian Church. More recently, he became a member of Kuhn Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder and became an active part of the church community. Left to cherish his memory are daughters, Diane Kyle of Louisville, KY, Joanne Brooks (Ben) of Westerville, OH, Kathy Fisher (Steve) of Huntington, W.Va.; grandchildren, Jason Brooks (Stacey), Joshua Brooks, Chad Fisher (Molly) and Lori Reynolds (Adam); great-grandchildren, Kylie Fisher, Kennedy Fisher, Cameron Brooks, Jack Brooks, Cole Reynolds and Cami Reynolds; brother, Ted Kyle (Billye); nephew, Frank Kyle and a dear friend, Clara Rose Sadler. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 27, 2015 at Kuhn Memorial Presbyterian Church, Barboursville, W.Va. with Pastor Patrick Ryan officiating. Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington, W.Va. The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House 1500 17th Street, Huntington, W.Va. 25701.
