ObituaryAGNES LUCILLE LOVEJOY
Agnes Richmond Lovejoy, wife of Howard Lovejoy, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on Friday, April 10, 2015, her 67th wedding anniversary. She was born March 4, 1929 at Spurlocksville, Lincoln County, West Virginia, the daughter of the late J. Hallie and Mabel Scragg Richmond, and sister of the late Avanelle (Robert) Dodds. She graduated from Guyan Valley High School in 1945 and attended Huntington School of Business. She was the bookkeeper for J.H. Richmond Construction Company for 16 years before retiring from the office of Spurlock's Flowers in 1989 after 23 years of service. She was a former member of Pea Ridge Baptist Church. In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by their two sons, Steve (Joan) Lovejoy of Huntington, West Virginia and Dr. Gary Lovejoy (David Barnhouse) of Phoenix, Arizona. She was cherished as “Mamaw Lovejoy” by grandchildren Chad (Sara) Lovejoy of Huntington and Stephanie (Travis) Beaman of Independence, Kentucky and her 10 great-grandchildren, Kaitlin, Luke, Ethan and Dylan Lovejoy, Reagan and Mason Hamilton, Gabe, Parker, Colby and Haven Beaman. She also adored her many family members, including her surviving Lovejoy sisters, Eunice Adkins, Joann (Bob) Tompkins and Loretta (Silas) Adkins, many dear nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends, Adaline Wetmore and Mary Lou Estler. Friends may call on the family at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary in East Pea Ridge, Huntington for Visitation on Monday, April 13, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and for Funeral Services on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with interment to follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in East Pea Ridge, Huntington, West Virginia.
