Rick Martin Ference, 65 of Huntington, WV passed away, Monday, December 7, 2020 in Cabell Huntington Hospital. He was born October 27, 1955 in South Bend, IN the son of the late, Martin Richard "Dick" and Del Marie Jean James Ference "Demova". He was a former Sheriffs Deputy with the Marion County and St. Joseph County sheriffs Dept. in Indiana. He was also a member of Christ Temple Church and was a former U.S. Army Airborne Ranger. He is survived by his wife, Carlass Mae Ference of Huntington, WV; children, Christopher Ference of Cancun, Mexico, Adam Ference (Lindsey) of South Bend, IN, Melissa Yeboah Amoko (Gordon) of Niles, MI; brother, Colman Love (Jessica) of Indianapolis, IN; sisters, Whitney Love and Bobbi Shopshire both of Mishawaka; step-father, James Love of Elkart, IN; sister-in-law, Chante Harshbarger (Matthew); grandchildren, Tiara of Niles, IN, Cyrus of South Bend, IN and Zeke of Niles, MI. Akaya Hall of Newport, MI, Tyler Penn of Granger, IN, Brealyn Ference and Jaden Ference both of South Bend, IN. Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday December 19, 2020 with Pastor Chuck Lawrence officiating at Henson and Kitchen Mortuary, 6357 E. Pea Ridge Rd. Huntington, WV. The family will receive friends two hours prior to services on Saturday at the mortuary.
