Murilla Spurlock, 86 of Barboursville, WV passed away, Thursday, December 3, 2020. She was born August 23, 1934 in Huntington, WV; daughter of the late Carlos and Clara Finley Triplett. Murilla enjoyed a long career as the owner and operator of Spurlock's Beauty Shop in Huntington, WV. She was a member of the Barboursville Moose Lodge Ladies Auxiliary. In recent years, she was involved in planning the Barboursville High School Class of 1952 annual reunion picnics. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three brothers, Norwood, Charles and Murill Triplett. Murilla is survived by two children, Shirley (Mark) Pope of Ponce Inlet, FL, Kenneth "Herb" (Christine) Spurlock of St. Augustine, FL; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three nephews; one niece; and a host of friends. At this time, no services are scheduled. However, the family will schedule a private memorial service for a later date. Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, 6357 E.
