Obituary

Mary Johnetta Hendricks
(February 14, 1953 - January 4, 2013)

Mary Johnetta Owens Hendricks was born on February 14, 1953 and on January 4, 2013 she went to be with her Lord and Savior. She will be greatly missed, but her love and teachings will never fade. She was preceded in death by her father, John Franklin Owens, and her mother Ruby Kilgore Owens. She is watching over her loving husband and daughter Ronald Eugene Hendricks and Cari Ariel Christine Hendricks both of Huntington, WV. Also, Mary is watching over her brother and sister in law William Dale Owens, Linda Owens and their children; brother in law Gary Wayne Hendricks who preceded her in death and Mary Ann Hendricks Coppoge; sister in law Rhonda Charlene Hendricks Bocook and J.W. Bocook who also preceded her in death; sister in law Kimberly Dawn Hendricks Woodrum and Gerald Woodrum plus all their children will be watched over. Mary’s 35 years of teaching let her light shine on the many students and faculty that she inspired. Along with teaching, she loved her church family of Faith Christian Assembly of Flatwoods, KY. She was always willing to help reach out with many programs at whichever church she was attending. Mary will be remembered and cherished for her kindness, generosity, her incomparable faith, and all the love she shared. Heaven truly gained an angel, and her love hasn’t gone just grown. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society and Alzheimer’s Association. Friends may call from 5 to 8 pm on Wednesday at the Reger Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 8 pm at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Rev. Phillip Warren and Rev. Tim Osborne.
