Norma Jean Walker
(February 7, 1932 - January 27, 2013)



NORMA JEAN WALKER, 80 of Huntington, W.Va., passed away Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, in St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor C.J. Adkins. Burial will follow in Dock's Creek Cemetery, Kenova, W.Va. Norma was born Feb. 2, 1932, in Richmond, Ind., a daughter of the late Donald and Bertha McMullen Ruby. She was a former employee of ACF and of the Town of Ceredo Water Office; she served as the Past Matron of Marcum Chapter # 61 Order of Eastern Star and was a member of Westmoreland Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Walker. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Patricia Walker of Monroe, N.C.; grandchildren, Shawn and James Walker of Monroe, N.C.; and great-grandchildren, Austin, Noah, Maci, Bailee Ann and James Case Walker. Her brothers Reginal, Clyde, Howard, Mark and Mike Ruby, as well as sisters Charlotte Starrin, Jeanie Stamper, Patty Thall, Beverly Sue Charles and Jo Ann Kenworthy survive her. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Reger Funeral Home.
