Shirley Norris Ross
(February 22, 1932 - January 13, 2013)


Shirley Norris Ross, of Huntington, W. Va., passed away Sunday, January 13, 2013, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. There will be a gathering of family and friends on Sunday, January 20, 2013, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the Ramada Inn Conference Center, 3094 16th Street Road, Huntington, W. Va. 25701. Shirley was born February 22, 1932 in Ceredo, W. Va. a daughter of the late Earl Wright Norris and Hazel Ewing Norris. She was a member of the Madison Avenue Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joel Ross, five brothers Wilber, John, Jimmy, Edgar, and Earl Lee Norris and three sisters Mary Hope Meyer, Virginia Johnson and Juanita O’Neal. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law Mark and Marsha Williams of Huntington, Danny and Diane Williams of Morgantown, W. Va., a daughter Linda Williams of Huntington, four grandchildren Bryan Waugh, Michael Mattison, Hannah Williams and Paris Frich and two great grandchildren Danielle Waugh and Dakota Waugh. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Madison Avenue Christian Church Youth Camp Scholarship Fund, 722 12th Street West, Huntington, W. Va. 25704.
