Samuel Harvey Runyon Jr.
(March 18, 1928 - October 12, 2013)



Samuel Harvey Runyon, Jr., 85, of Kenova, WV, passed away Saturday October 12, 2013 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Tuesday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Rev. Tim Porter and Pastor Janet Mounts. Burial will follow in Spring Valley Memory Gardens, Huntington. He was born March 19, 1928 in Wayne County, WV a son of the late Harvey and Nancy Belle Crockett Runyon. He was a retired steel worker with National Steel and Martin Steel. Samuel was a veteran of the US Army having served during the Korean War. He was a member of the Pentecostal Truth Ministries. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by two brothers Dean and Otis Runyon and five sisters Evelyn Sark, Louise Stanley, Doris Nichols, Maxine Williams and Edna Workman. Survivors include his wife of 61 years Anna Jane Turban Runyon; brother James Runyon and several nieces and nephews including Ben and Nancy Coleman of Chesapeake, Ohio. Friends may call from 1 pm until service time on Tuesday at the Reger Funeral Home.
