Margaret Marie Tomlin
(January 15, 1929 - October 30, 2013)



Margaret Marie Boyer Tomlin, 84, of Huntington, WV, loving wife and mother, passed away Wednesday October 30, 2013 at Wayne Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mother was born January 15, 1929 in Huntington, WV, a daughter of the late William G. Boyer and Eva Lowe Boyer. Mother was a World War II bride. She had a gentle spirit and a kind heart. She was preceded in death by her husband Arnold Tomlin, Sr., one son Arnold Tomlin, Jr. She was also preceded in death by two treasured siblings, Faye Lett of Huntington and William Jennings “Joe” Boyer of Cleveland, Ohio. Two much loved sons in law Don Lyons of Huntington and Phil Ahrendt of Knightstown, Indiana. She leaves behind five children, Mary Lyons of Huntington, John Tomlin and Jackie Frederickson of Huntington, Lucy Ahrendt of Knightstown, Ind., Angie Coleman of Clarkville, TX. Eight grandchildren Donald and Kristy of Huntington, Stacy and John of Ohio, Daniel and Philip of Indiana, Karla of Oregon and Jonda of Idaho; two special grand’s Bryan and Sissy Harshbarger of Huntington and twenty eight great grand’s; a very special sister in law Arlene Smail of Huntington; a host of cherished nieces and nephews; two special cousins Margaret Necessary of Huntington and Betty Stafford of Ohio. Margaret was a wonderful mom and friend of many, including Wilbur Maynard of Las Vegas, Cora Jean Rule of Rapid City, SD, Wilma Simms of Mich., Lucille Washington of Huntington, Madeline Perry of Huntington and special family friend Dan Betlyn. A big thank you to her friends at My Friends House and her buddies at Trowbridge. The family will receive friends from 10 am Saturday, November 2 at the Reger Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin immediately following visitation at 11 am with Dallas Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the staff of Wayne Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their kindness. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Huntington or Little Victories.
