Charles William Walters
(March 24, 1937 - October 25, 2013)



Charles William Walters, 76, died Friday, October 25, 2013 at his residence. He is the son of late Charles M. and Goldie (Plummer) Walters and was born on March 24, 1937 in Meade, Kentucky. He was a resident of Kenova for over thirty years. Charles and Sylvia Jewell Gillette were married in October 1981. Together they celebrated thirty-one years of love, laughter, and memories. Charles was a self employed contractor who enjoyed his family and sports. He will be remembered for his warmth, his fun loving sense of humor, and his unconditional love of his children, grandchildren and his beloved great-granddaughter, Khloe. He is survived by his loving sons, Charles Wayne “Charlie” Walters of Kenova and Brian L. Walters and his companion, Ted Welch of Columbus, Ohio,; grandchildren, Jennifer Walters and Joshua (Kourtney) Walters; great-grandchild, Khloe Walters all of Proctorville, Ohio; and his sister Elva Kleindienst of Ashtabula, Ohio ; step-children, Jackie (Charlotte) Gillette of Ashland, Kentucky, Mark (Morgan) Gillette of Marietta, Georgia; and several step-grandchildren; and loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, S. Jewell Walters in 2011; his former wife and mother of his sons, Lois Ann Mclin; siblings, Mitchell Walters, Geneva Davis, Dorothy Boyd, and Lorraine Castle. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 11 am at the Reger Funeral Chapel, 1242 Adams Avenue, Huntington, WV 25704 with Pastor Tim Author officiating. Friends may call from 5:00Pm until 8:00PM on Monday, October, 28, 2013 at the Reger Funeral Home.
