Lawrence “Golden” Napier, 80, of Huntington, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday February 4, 2016 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Monday at Sunshine Freewill Baptist Church by Pastor Jody Fortner. Burial will follow in Docks Creek Cemetery, Kenova, WV. He was born April 3, 1935 in Stiltner, WV, a son of the late Johnnie and Virgie Frazier Napier. in addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters and spouses: Johnie Napier Jr and Jessie Napier , Caloway and Evelyn Napier, Willis Fry, Thena Adkins and Myrtle Soileau. Golden was a retired truck driver for Union Boiler with 33 years of service. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Christine Napier; children Darlene Napier, Lawrence (Lisa) Napier, James Napier, David (Lana) Napier, Beverly and Rocky Estep and Carol Greenlees; twenty two grandchildren: David Anthony Ross, Stephanie Adkins, Joanna Cole, Danny Cole II, Chris Napier, Sarah Napier Cluff, Franklin Napier, Michael Napier, Ryan Napier, Koty Napier, Bethany Napier, Daryl Napier, Aaron Napier, Christina Davis, Joshua Estep, David Daniel, Mandy Choate, Kevin Estep, Carl Leep, Chad Estep, April Dillon, Julia Greenlees, Kathleen Greenless and Essie Greenlees and twenty five great grandchildren: Carter Ross, David, Andrew, and Alyssa Sharp, Vada Kimbler, Elijah and Noah Napier, Jordan Cluff, Zayne, Annalee, Jordyn, and Savannah Napier, Sadie and Fielder Davis, Lani, Tatem and Ashton Daniel, Magnolia and Clara Choate, Caleigh, Holly and Aubrey Estep, Alex Dillon and Madeline and Annabelle Henderson. Brothers and sisters and spouses: Frank and Doris Napier, Harvey and Doris Napier, Tempa and Linville Farley, Lionel Adkins and Magdaline Fry. Sister in law and brother in law: Phyllis Hurst and Jerry French of Knoxville, TN. Friends may call from 4 to 6 pm Sunday at the Reger Funeral Home.
