Jeffrey Wayne "Jeffy" Beckett
(April 3, 1958 - November 28, 2016)



Jeffrey Wayne “Jeffy” Beckett, 58, of Barboursville and Florida, passed away Monday, November 28, 2016. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Thursday, December 1, 2016 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Rev. Johnny Riley and Pastor Rick Glass. Burial will be in Baylous Cemetery, Salt Rock. He was born April 3, 1958 in West Hamlin, a son of Nila Jean Thompson Beckett of Barboursville, and the late Darrell “Bub” Beckett. He was a retired employee of CSX Transportation. Jeffy is also survived by his daughters, Shannon and Scott Lynd of Worthington, KY, and Ashley and Danielle Lively of Ashland; two sisters, June Beckett of Huntington and Joan Turner of Barboursville; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Cindy Beckett and Jimmy and Mitzi Beckett, all of Barboursville, and Jody and Kathy Beckett of Ona, WV; five grandchildren Noah Wesley Worthington, Gabriel Logan Worthington, James-Elijah Beckett Lynd, Samuel Ryan Jude Lynd, and Saylor Annabeth Marie Lynd (his “little punkin”), his best friend, Peyton Manning Beckett, and several nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts. Jeffy lived a full life, always making everyone around him laugh. He loved and cherished his grandchildren. He left behind a multitude of family, friends, and classmates. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville.
