Barbara Jean "Sissy" Nelson
(September 24, 1961 - February 17, 2017)

Barbara Jean “Sissy” Nelson, 55, of Wayne, WV, passed away February 17, 2017 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Monday, February 20, 2017 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Jason Salmons. Burial will be in Morrison Cemetery, Barboursville. She was born September 24, 1961 in Huntington, WV, a daughter of Barbara McCoy Ferguson of Barboursville and the late Ernest Ferguson Jr. She is survived by her husband, David Lee Nelson; one sister, Sandy Smith of Chesapeake, Ohio; two brothers, Richard and Scott Ferguson, both of Barboursville, WV; and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, 3100 Staunton Road, Huntington, WV 25702.
