SHIRLEY ANN PORTER, 68, of Barboursville, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 26, 2017, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, with Pastor Jody Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Bowen Cemetery. She was born May 31, 1948, in Huntington, W.Va., a daughter of the late Vernon Porter and Bertie Geneva Adkins Porter. She was a former employee for 26 years at St. Mary's Hospital. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Janet Nash, Donna Reed and Doris Imogene Wilks, and one brother, Ronald Porter. She is survived by two sisters, Joyce Marcum of Huntington and Glenna Shaffer of Summersville, W.Va.; three brothers, Kenneth Porter of Branchland, W.Va., Roy Porter of Wayne, W.Va., and Tommy Porter of Ohio; several nieces and nephews; and a special great-niece, Courtney Adkins. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
