DARRELL CLINTON WOOTEN
(June 16, 1954 - February 25, 2017)



DARRELL CLINTON WOOTEN, 62, of Salt Rock, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 25, 2017. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Gue officiating. Burial will be in Green Valley Cemetery. He was born June 16, 1954, in Hurricane, W.Va., a son of Pansy Edith Hinkle Wooten of Hurricane, W.Va., and the late Wilson Marion Wooten. He was a local minister having served in various churches in the region. He faithfully attended, worshiped and worked at Madison United Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Jean Chaney and Shirley Newsome; two brothers, Jimmy Wooten and Wesley Wooten; and a grandson-in-law, Private Theron Linville III, U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Ann Hatfield Wooten; one daughter, Barbara Wooten of Summersville, S.C.; one son and daughter-in-law, Matthew Clinton and Brandi Wooten of Salt Rock; three sisters, Janet Barnett of Huntington, Patty Chaney of Salt Rock and Teresa Ellis of North Carolina; three brothers, Raymond Wooten of Kansas, Roger Wooten and David Wooten, both of Hurricane, W.Va.; four grandchildren, Tasha Ross, Ashtyn Hatfield, Karleigh Wooten and Keegan Wooten; and three great-grandchildren, Bryson, Emma and Maddon. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
