    BOBBY THOMAS RYDER, 86, of 
    Lesage, passed away March 28, 2017, at home surrounded by his loving family. 
    He was born March 4, 1931, in Cabell County, a son of the late Herbert and 
    Opal. He was also preceded in death by his son, Joseph Alan, and grandson, 
    Joseph Alan II. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served in 
    the Korean Conflict. He loved gardening, friends and family gatherings. He 
    is survived by his wife of 65 years, Othella "Pug" Ryder; two daughters, Kim 
    (Jack) Rayburn and Rhonda (Larry) Hodge; two sons, Scott and Todd (Joni); 
    one sister, Inez (Ervie) Jenkins; brothers, Bill (Joyce) and Lee (Jen); 
    fourteen grandchildren, Little Joe, Derek, Vanessa, Ryan, Shane, Brit, 
    Vicki, Frank "J.R.", Aaron, Brooke, Jessie, Tiffany, Ben and Brad; nineteen 
    great-grandchildren, Gage, Joealan, Kiersten, Kiera, Mason, Hannah, Sophia, 
    Mackie, Raven, Brandon, Audrey, Kaitlin, Connor, Landon, MaKenzie, Brendin, 
    Acacia, Kaley and Bailey; and two great-great-grandchildren, Gideon and 
    Judah. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at 
    Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Funeral 
    services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at 
    Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by 
    Pastor Paul Meadows. Burial will be in
