Linda Lou Spencer
(January 19, 1944 - March 9. 2017)



Linda Lou Spencer, 73, of Huntington, WV, wife of Denny Ray Spencer, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, with Dr. David Lemming officiating. Burial will be in Enon Cemetery, Salt Rock. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 13, 2017 at Wallace Funeral Home. She was born January 19, 1944, in Huntington, WV, the daughter of the late Leamond Austin and Juanita Fay Hatfield of Barboursville, WV. Linda was a former EKG Technician at Saint Mary’s Medical Center but was most proud of her roles as wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Roberta Hunter, her brother, Robert Hatfield, and her niece and great-niece, Regina and Melissa Terry. She is survived by her daughter, Anzonetta Faye “Angie” Acker; her sons, George Roger Acker (Ginger), Leamond Scott Acker (Terri), and Anthony Troy Acker (Carrie); step-son, Tim Spencer; as well as her great-nieces and nephew, who she raised and loved as her own, Amanda Marie Dawes (Andrew) and Sarah Beth Wagoner (Patrick) and Brandon Hunter Terry (Megan); her sister Janet McVey (Jim); grandsons, Sean Acker, Cody Acker, and Jacob Acker; granddaughters, Kayla Acker and Mackenzie Acker; great-granddaughter and great-grandson, Jada and Jude Sparks; and niece Carrie Simpson (James). The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Tammy L. Bannister, M.D. for the excellent care, devotion, love and friendship she provided Linda. They would also like to thank the staff and employees at Heritage Center, Huntington, WV, for their longtime care of Linda.
