Dalton L. "Buck" Holley
(August 28, 1927 - April 8, 2012)



Dalton L. "Buck" Holley 84 of South Point, Ohio, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2012. He was born August 28, 1927, in Huntington the son of Alva C. and Herma L. Holley. His brother Joe Holley and sister Shirley Johnson also preceded him in death. Buck retired from the Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad, after 40 plus years, as a pipe fitter having worked last at Russell, KY. Buck is survived by two daughters: Priscilla Holley Lucas and Janie Holley Cardoza (Ronald) both of Montverde, Fl.; a sister Maxine; three granddaughters, Amy Hamilton (Brian) Seminole, OK; Kim Compton, Orlando, FL. and Beth Blankenship of South Point, OH. Buck always enjoyed cutting up with his four great-granddaughters, Tiffany, April, Jesse and Shelby, and his great grandson, Kade. He had one great-great grandson, Connor. Buck made many trips to visit his daughters in Orlando where he had made lots of friends who enjoyed his stories. He will be missed by all. A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, with Rev. Dr. John R. Sauvage officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
