Kathleen Midkiff
(September 10, 1912 - March 11, 2013)


Mrs. Kathleen Midkiff, 100, of Huntington, widow of Elmer Blake and Levi Midkiff passed away Monday, March 11, 2013, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. She was born September 10, 1912 in Lawrence County, KY, a daughter of the late Henry and Sydney Hicks Perkins. She was a member of Highlawn Baptist Church, and was a former employee of the former Perry-Norvell Shoe Factory. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Karen Midkiff, a son, Rod Midkiff, and brothers Henry and Milton Perkins. Surviving are a daughter, Helen McConnell of Huntington, and 2 grandsons, Gary McConnell of Huntington, and Larry McConnell of Lesage, WV. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 pm, Thursday at Chapman’s Mortuary, with Jim Franklin officiating. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park. Friends may visit 1 hour prior to services at Chapman’s Mortuary.
