Lou Ann Reed
(May 20, 1936 - March 2, 2013)



Lou Ann Reed, 76, of Huntington, WV, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Scott Duncan officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. She was born May 20, 1936, in Beckley, WV a daughter of the late George and Florence Elizabeth Lawson Post. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Lynn Fairchild; a sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Ray Childress; three half brothers; her mother-in-law, Vera Reed; a son-in-law, Matthew Allen Banks; her former husband, Corwin Lane Reed; and her companion, Eddie Peyton. Lou Ann worked in food service for 35 years with Marshall University, and attended River Cities Community Church. Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Cheryl Ann Worrell and Jay Worrell of Goldsboro, NC, and Melissa Lee Banks of Darlington, SC; six grandchildren and their spouses, Evan and Jen Worrell, Cory Worrell, Sean Worrell, Michael and Carrie Reed, Heather and Eric Sibbach, and Crystina and Justin Hager; a sister-in-law, Bonnie and husband, Mark McAllister of Cabins, WV; and four great grandchildren, Faith and Christian Worrell, Erika Sibbach, and Aden Reed. Friends may call 6:00-8:00 PM Monday at Chapman’s Mortuary.
