Cara Lynn Harris

Cara Lynn Harris 53, of Huntington, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2014, at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Thursday, October 2, 2014, at Chapman’s Mortuary, with Pastor Patrick Elliott officiating. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park. She was born March 3, 1961, in Huntington, a daughter of Floress Ann Rice Collins of Huntington, and the late Jack Leroy Collins. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Charles Harris;, Maternal grandparents McKinley and Clara Rice, and Paternal grandparents Cecil and Elsie Collins. She was a homemaker and a member of Spring Valley Freedom Baptist Church. Survivors in addition to her mother include; one daughter Jade Harris, and her fiancé, Samuel Toliver of Huntington; a son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Erin Maynard of Buffalo, NY; a brother, Michael Lee Collins of Huntington; two grandchildren, Layne Maynard and Ozias Harris; her life companion, Chris McCloud of Huntington; Hoyt Alan Maynard, the father of Jason Maynard; and a host of other family and friends. Friends may call from noon to service time Thursday, October 2, 2014 at the funeral home.
