Robert Lee Wood, 89, of Huntington, WV, widower of Cleora Ann Wood, died Thursday October 12, 2017 at The Wyngate Senior Living, Barboursville. Funeral service will be conducted at noon Tuesday October 17, 2017 at Chapman's Mortuary Huntington with Lee Dean officiating. Burial will be in Pete Meadows Cemetery, Mason, County, WV. Robert was born May 14, 1928 in Williamson, WV, a son of the late Durand and Maysie Ball Wood. He retired after 40 years of service from the former Owens-Illinois Glass Company and was known as "Woody". He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Durand Jr and Clarence Wood. Survivors include three daughters, Yvonne Adkins of Florida, Yvette Gregoire and Yolanda (Curtis) Shields all of Tennessee, one son, Robert L (Carolyn) Wood, Jr. of Huntington, nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, two sisters, Janet Grasso and Peggy Byrd both of California. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday October 16, 2017 at Chapman's Mortuary.
