Jack Franklin Wise
(March 19, 1921 - March 27, 2015)



Jack Franklin Wise, 94, of Huntington, WV, passed away Friday March 27, 2015 at the home of his caretakers, Tony and Ruby Schneider of South Point, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Katherine Wise, his wife Margaret F. Wise, his sister Clara R. Probst and his brother Thomas E. Wise. He is survived by his children Jack F. Wise, II and wife Sherry and James D. Wise and wife Annie all of Havana, Fla. and his daughter Betty A. Skeens of Huntington. He is also survived by his grandchildren Teah Lupton and husband Chris Michael, Joe Wise, Josh Wise, Jack Wise, III and Matt Skeens and wife Ryan; great grandchildren Jude and Jade Wise; nieces Cathy DePrie, Tonya Glendening and Janice Wise and nephew Thomas E. Wise. Jack served in the US Navy during WWII and was a retired accountant. Jack was a life member of the American Legion Post 93 of Kenova, VFW Post 1064 of Huntington and the DAV #2 of Huntington. He enjoyed golf and the Huntington YMCA of which he was a member for sixty years. He was a member of the Westmoreland United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Tuesday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Rev. Tom Nolan. Friends may call from noon until service time Tuesday at the Reger Funeral Home. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV. The family would like to thank Tony and Ruby Schneider for the loving care they gave Jack for the last 4 years. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of Huntington, The Huntington YMCA and Westmoreland United Methodist Church.
