Obituary

JUANITA "MARIE" GUE
(September 26, 2016)



JUANITA "MARIE" GUE, 87, of Barboursville, W.Va., passed away peacefully September 26, 2016. Visitation will be Saturday, October 1, 2016, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Funeral service will be Sunday, October 2, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel with David Cardwell and Johnny Gue ministering the service. Burial to follow at Green Valley Cemetery in Branchland, W.Va. Marie was the only daughter of the late Gilbert and Ever Porter of Salt Rock, W.Va., having seven brothers, with one surviving brother, Gregory D. Porter. She was married to Hobert Gue, and together they had three daughters and one son. She was retired from the American Red Cross. She was a member of Madison United Baptist Church. She was a very unique spirit, with a one-of-a-kind sense of humor, and she will be missed by all who knew her. Marie is preceded in death by her loving husband, Hobert, her precious daughter, Julia Hodgson, and her great-grandsons, David and Christopher Adkins. She is survived by her children, Alice and Hugha Ferguson, Marcia Warden, Mark and Michelle Gue. She has seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends. The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to the staff at Cabell Health Care Center for providing such wonderful care of Marie. Pallbearers will be Scott Warden, Michael Warden, Brian Porter, Danny Porter, Ron Kingery, Tim Eplin, Steven Davis and Jacob Coovert.
