Raymond Earl Bishop
August 16, 1917 - February 18, 2009



Mr. Raymond Earl Bishop, 91, of Huntington, widower of Anna Juanita Waugh Bishop, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2009, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 21, 2009, at Chapman's Mortuary, with Rev. Tim Yates officiating. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, with the Veterans Honor Guard conducting military graveside rites. He was born August 16, 1917 at Huntington, WV, a son of the late Raymond and Hattie Meadows Bishop. He was a member of Highlawn Baptist Church, the Y.M.C.A., and the VFW. He was a WW II Marine Corps Veteran, and was a retired Special Agent with the C & O Railway. He also was preceded in death by a step-son, Robert L Spencer. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Joyce Bishop of Lawrenceville, GA; 5 grandchildren, Marc Bishop of Atlanta, GA, Tricia Mc Cullough of West Palm Beach, FL, Cheri Spencer of Huntington, Craig Spencer of Texas, and Brandon Spencer of Kentucky; and a great grandchild, Will Mc Cullough.
