Anthony Lee Kessick
September 29, 1942 - February 19, 2009


Anthony Lee Kessick, 66, of Huntington, WV, died on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at his home. Mr. Kessick was born in Huntington on September 29, 1942. Preceding him in death are his parents, Cecil and Blanche Kessick and Orville Kingery, two brothers, Cecil Kessick, Jr., and Tom Kessick, and a sister, Phyllis Gorby. Anthony was a US Army veteran and an instructor for Huntington Junior College. Mr. Kessick was an avid reader and an accomplished writer having several plays produced for Broadway. He was also a member of the American Mensa, an elite group of individuals with high IQ's. Survivors include his mother, Peggy Sydenstricker of Huntington, his niece/sister, Nedra Browning and husband Mike of Proctorville, OH, numerous nieces and nephews, and special friend, Tammy Shortridge. Anthony's life will be celebrated on Sunday, February 22, 2009, 5 PM at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations in Mr. Kessick's name to Hospice of Huntington.
