Robert Francis Rowe
June 5, 1937 - January 21, 2009


Robert Francis Rowe, 71, of Huntington, and formerly of Lake Shawnee, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Robert was born on June 5, 1937 in Newark, NJ, a son of the late John and Clementine Littell Rowe. He is also preceded in death by his first wife of 46 years, Patricia Ann Rowe. Robert had retired from the East Orange, NJ police department as a police officer. Survivors include his loving wife, Earlene Gravely Rowe, of Huntington; a son, Timothy Rowe of Buttzville, NJ; a daughter and a son-in-law, Sharon and Michael Suchomel of Lafayette, NJ; two step-sons, Jimmy Dale Perry and wife Parr, and David Perry, all of Proctorville, OH; a step-daughter, Darlene McCoy and husband Greg of Huntington, WV; a brother, John Rowe and wife Anne of Flemington, NJ; two grandsons, Glen Atkinson and wife Dana of Denville, NJ, and Alex Suchomel of Middlesex, NJ; two granddaughters, Jennifer Atkinson of Seaside, NJ, and Tammy Leahy and husband Michael of Manchester, CT; a great granddaughter, Danielle Atkinson of Seaside, NJ; eight step-grandchildren, Derrick McCoy, Dakota McCoy, Allie Perry, Adam Perry, Justin Perry, Ethan Perry, Bethany Perry, and Rachel Perry. Friends and family may call at Chapman�s Mortuary, Huntington, on Thursday, January 22, 2009 from 6 � 8 PM. Beginning at 7:30 PM, Pastor Jimmy Dale Perry and Rev. Julia Bolling will conduct Robert�s funeral service. At Mr. Rowe�s request, his body will be cremated. A memorial service will also be held at the Hurdtown United Methodist Church in Lake Hopatcong, NJ at a later date.
