Genevieve Harper Gallo
(June 22, 1931 - February 5, 2011)

Genevieve Harper Gallo, 79, of Huntington, WV, died Saturday February 5, 2011. Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday February 10, 2011 at Chapman's Mortuary Huntington with Pastor Ronnie Tyree officiating. Genevieve was born June 22, 1931 in Hurricane, WV a daughter of the late James A. & Malinda Burnside Harper. She was a retired hairdresser. She spent several years of her life in Guyandotte, WV at the home of her uncle & aunt. Later she moved to Hollywood, FL where she married Ernest J. Gallo in 1985, and they returned to WV. She attended Harper Valley Sunday School and was a member of the V.F.W. Post 9738 Ladies Aux. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest J. Gallo, one son, Steven Belville, two sisters, Odessa Kearns & Gertrude Walker, one brother, Louis Harper and, an infant granddaughter Teresa Gail Hunt and a granddaughter Amanda Gail Hunt. Survivors include three daughters, Judy Wiley & Naomi Gail Scarberry & husband Randy all of Proctorville, OH and Pinkie Holschuh of Willow Wood, OH, 11 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, a host of nieces & nephews including two special nieces Betty Jean Goff of St. Albans, WV, & Janet Creasy of Jetersville, VA, a sister & brother-in-law, Phyllis & Richard Wright of Clendenin, WV. Friends may call at Chapman's Mortuary from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday February 9, 2011.
