Donald Eugene Stewart
(May 12, 1928 - February 19, 2011)



Donald Eugene Stewart, 82, of Huntington, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2011, at St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born May 12, 1928 in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Arthur Raymond and Vivian Louise Poston Stewart. A daughter, Olga Nanette Daniels, and three sisters, Helen Ferguson, Gladys Hughes, and Connie Spears, also preceded him in death. Donald was a U.S. Army veteran, having served with the Army Air Force. He was an electrician by trade having been a member of IBEW 317 Union for 60 years, and was a member of the Walnut Hills Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include his wife, Faye Pauline Flora Stewart of Huntington; two daughters and a son-in-law, Karen Stone and Deborah and James Forth, all of Huntington; two sons and daughters-in-law, Rex Alan and Christine Stewart of Amelia, OH, and David and Tonya Stewart of Huntington; a son-in-law, Lynn Daniels; a brother, Raymond Arthur Stewart of Huntington; three sisters, Janice Geer of Ona, Wanda Taylor of Barboursville, and Betty Hite of Ona; nine grandchildren, Katrina Zornes and her husband Jerry, Michael Daniels, Misty McQuaid, Caitlin Stewart, Hannah Stewart, Ian Stewart, Sean Stewart, Tyler Stewart, and Courtney Stewart; and four great grandchildren, Trey Cole, Nicholas Zornes, Mekhia McQuaid, and Riley Zornes. Funeral services will be conducted 12:30 pm Saturday, February 26, 2011, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with the Rev. Fred McCarty officiating. Burial with military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 9738, Guyandotte, will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Friends may call after 11:30 AM Saturday at Chapman's Mortuary. Donations may be sent to the Walnut Hills Church of the Nazarene.
