Ralph William Holley
(November 11, 1923 - February 12, 2011)



Ralph William "Joe" Holley, 87, of Huntington, WV, died Saturday, February 12, 2011, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House surrounded by his loving family. Joe was born November 11, 1923 in Mason, Co., WV a son of the late Ela & Ocia Wallace Holley. His wife Annie Lucille Holley also preceded him in death. Survivors include siblings Hilda Clagg, James Holley, and Worthy Holley; daughter Loretta Phipps and husband David; son William A. Holley; grandchildren William A. Holley II and wife Tassy; Travis Holley and wife Jennifer; Elisa and husband Ed Belville; and Heather Phipps; great grandchildren Billy Holley, Corey Holley, Austen and Ethan Holley, Nichole and Jake Belville, Brendan Killy, and Anderson Schoenlein. Joe was a veteran of the U.S. Army, WWII, where he served in Panama. He was a kind and generous man who always put others first. His love and friendship were a blessing to all who knew him. Friends may call from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday February 15, 2011 at Chapman's Mortuary Huntington. Funeral service will be conducted 12:30 PM Wednesday February 16, 2011 at Chapman's Mortuary. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. The family wishes to thank the staff of the hospice house for their kind and loving care. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Huntington. I have fought the good fight; I have finished the race; and I have remained faithful; 2 Timothy 4:7.
