Edward Gilbert Scarberry

Edward Gilbert Scarberry, 88, of Huntington, WV, died Wednesday February 9, 2011 in the V.A. Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday February 12, 2011 at Chapman's Mortuary Huntington. Burial will be in Watson Cemetery, Branchland, WV. Edward was born November 4, 1922 in Cabell, Co., WV a son of the late Burt & Mary Davis Scarberry. He was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran, 3rd Infantry Div. receiving a Bronze Star and was retired from WV Steel. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 1064 whose members will conduct military graveside rites. He was preceded in death by an infant son David and 2 sisters & 2 brothers. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Orpha (Dottie) Scarberry, a son & his wife Terry & Kim Scarberry of Huntington, a granddaughter Tiffany (Todd) Davis of Clarksburg, WV, a grandson Christopher (Amanda) Scarberry of Huntington, 2 great grandchildren Makenzie & Chase Davis & 2 step great grandchildren Emily & Preston Dial. Friends may call at Chapman's Mortuary from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday February 11, 2011.
