Bobby Gus Anders
(November 26, 1937 - April 6, 2013)


Bobby Gus Anders, 75, of Huntington, husband of Gloria Plumley Anders, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. He was born November 26, 1937, in Jonesville, VA, a son of the late Edward and Mary Stivey Anders. Bobby was a U.S. Navy veteran and was a meat cutter by trade having worked for the former B&B Market, and a few other stores until his retirement. In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Kim McCormill and Jennifer and Mike Tilson, all of Huntington; two sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Eleanor Anders of Huntington, and David and Angie Anders of Proctorville, OH; eight grandchildren, Shawn McCormill, Michael Anders, Sara Anders Hall and husband, Nick Hall, Jessica Tilson, Christopher Tilson, Seth Anders, Tyler Anders, and Zack Anders; two great grandchildren, Addison Hall and Avery Hall; and a special niece, Terri Christian. The family extends a special thanks to his home health nurses and to the nurses at the Hospice House. They ask that donations be given to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Bobby’s name. Veteran’s Honor Guard Post 16, Huntington, will preform military rites at 1:00 PM Saturday April 13, 2013 at the Memorial Arch on Memorial Blvd.
