Leonard Thomas "Tom" Tabor
(April 5, 1929 - April 11, 2013)



Leonard Thomas “Tom” Tabor 84, of Huntington, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013 in Heritage Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Monday, April 15, 2013 at Community of Grace United Methodist Church, with Pastor Steve Hamrick officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, with military graveside rites conducted by WV Veterans Honor Guard, Post 16. He was born April 5, 1929, in Myra WV, a son of the late John Wesley and Mary Madge Miller Tabor. In addition to his parents, two sisters, Betty Jo Bergeson and Doris Ann Tabor, and one brother, Hartzel Tabor, and a son-in-law Dave McDonie preceded him in death. He was a US Army veteran, a retired bath and kitchen installer and a member of Community of Grace United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Betty Frances Yeager Tabor; one daughter Rebecca E. Tabor McDonie; a granddaughter and her spouse Lauren Elizabeth and Jeff Copley all of Huntington; and a nephew, and his wife John and Sara Bergeson of Hebron, Ohio. Friends may call one hour prior to service time Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Tom’s memory to Community of Grace United Methodist Church for missions or the choir. The family would like to thank the 3rd floor staff at Heritage Center for their care of Tom during his illness.
