David Gene Long, Jr.

David Gene Long, Jr., 52, of Huntington, son of Linda Sue Thacker Cole of Ironton, OH, died Saturday, May 21, 2022 at St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born April 23, 1970 in Huntington, WV. David had a sister, Tonia Ann Long, and a brother, Paul Mack Long, precede him in death. He was a self-employed handy man. In addition to his mother, survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Donald Marshall of Huntington; step-daughter, Hannah Anderson of Proctorville, OH; a step-son, Tanner Anderson of Proctorville; two sisters, Paula Lambert and husband, Jayson Lambert of Ironton and Kristie Long of Ceredo, WV; a brother and sister-in-law, Ivan and Belinda Long of Huntington; two grandchildren, Oliver Marshall and Akira Marshall, both of Huntington; and a host of nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be conducted at noon on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at the Highlawn Full Gospel Assembly, with lunch to follow.
