Obituary
Mark Allan Willett, 67, of
Proctorville, OH, formerly of Huntington, WV, passed away Sunday, May 29,
2022, in St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington. He was born June 23, 1954 in
Huntington a son of the late Landon Stewart "Stu" and Madge "Maxine" King
Willett. Mark was great husband and a wonderful father. He loved the Lord.
He was surrounded in life by family and friends who loved him dearly. He
retired from Special Metals after 40 years of service and was a member of
Steelworkers Union Local 40. He was a charter member of New Baptist Church,
Huntington. Survivors include: his wife, Jo Ellen Butler Willett; two
daughters, Angie Marie Blake and Corie Beth (Robert Brian) Harris, all of
Huntington; four grandchildren, Emily Marie Brumfield, Hannah Jane Blake,
Ronald Landon Allan Blake, and Eli Max Willett; a brother, Marvin (Gwile)
Willett of Rio, IL; as well as brothers and sisters-in-law, several nieces
and nephews, and his precious dog, Prissy. Funeral services will be
conducted 2:00 pm Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington,
with Pastor Trent Eastman officiating. Visitation will be from noon until
2:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial
Park, Huntington. Pallbearers will be Eli Willett, Landon Blake, Eric Barcus,
Nate Lantz, Chris Blake, and Jason Bell. Honorary pallbearers will be Roger
Barcus, Brian Harris, David Stevenson, Major Simms, Stan Meadows, and Larry
Sumpter. Mark's family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the
Cardiovascular ICU at St. Mary's for their wonderful care.
