Ruth Browning Daniel
(October 6, 1921 - February 15, 2013)



Ruth Browning Daniel, 91, of Huntington, W. Va., went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 15, 2013, at Madison Park. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Rev. Pat Elliott. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. She was born on October 6, 1921 at Omar, W. Va. a daughter of the late Lewis and Ella May McDonald Browning. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Henry Baxter Daniel, a brother Mac Browning and a sister Mary Jane Meske. Survivors include her two brothers and a sister-in-law Robert Browning (Judy) and Carl Browning, a daughter and son-in-law Betty Jane Mullens (Mike) of South Point, Ohio, a son and daughter-in-law Philip Daniel (Diane) of Lavalette, W. Va., a granddaughter Kelli Helton (Scott), a grandson Todd Mullens (Kelli), four great grandchildren Jake and Josh Helton and Noah and Grace Mullens; sister in law Louise Bolling and a special friend and aunt Wilma Payne. She worked at Marshall University for 25 years in the registrar’s office. She was an avid supporter of Marshall. Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday at the Reger Funeral Home. The family would like to thank the staff of Wyngate and Madison Park for their love and care over the last six years.
