Obituary
“Precious in the sight of
the Lord is the death of his saints.” Psalms 116:15. Charlene
Cynthia Haynie, 66, died
Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in
Huntington, WV. Angels transported her to her heavenly home. She was
preceded in death by her mother Thelma Virginia Perdue Haynie and her father
Jennings Caldwell Haynie, as well as her sisters Geraldine Haynie Meadows
and Barbara Haynie Collins and her brothers Roger Kent Haynie and Leo David
Haynie. She is survived by her sisters Millie Haynie Keeney, Grace Haynie
Ferguson, Karen Haynie Sizemore and Diana Haynie Hensley. Charlene was a
member of Madison Avenue Church of God and a previous member of Buffalo
Valley Baptist Church. She was employed by J. C. Penny Company as an
elevator operator and also worked as a custodian at Kellogg Elementary and
Buffalo Elementary. Her hobby was making crafts for charitable organizations
such as the Cabell –Wayne Association for the blind and helping with
vacation Bible School. Giving handmade gifts to her family and friends was
one of her greatest joys. The family would like to express their
appreciation to Heritage Center employees for their compassionate love and
care for Charlene and also to Hospice of Huntington. Pallbearers will be
Alan Ferguson, Kenny Haynie, Wilson Collins, Chris Sizemore, Steven Hensley
and Richard Meadows. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m.
Saturday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Tim Jayne. Burial will be in
the Hatten Cemetery, Prichard West Virginia. Friends may call from 11:00
a.m. till service time Saturday at the Reger Funeral Home, Huntington.
