Obituary

Katie Burnsworth
(July 15, 1949 - September 13, 2014)

Katie Burnsworth, of Barboursville, WV, flew through Heaven's Gate on Saturday, September 13, 2014. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 15, 2014 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, WV, Mr. Donald Raikes, presiding. Katie was born in Mannington, WV on July 15, 1949 to Huey and Edna Schrader Dye. She is survived by her husband, Ronald, and three children and their spouses; Jeff (Jennifer) of Brandenburg, KY, Scott (Jamey) of St. Albans, and Charlotte (Michael Dorsey) of Barboursville. She was a loving "Mam" of seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was retired from the WVU School of Dentistry, Charleston, and a member of Barboursville Baptist Church. Visitation will be held at Wallace Funeral Home on Sunday, September 14, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Huntington, Box 464, Huntington, WV 25709.
