CAROL FAYE (BETTS) JORDAN took her heavenly fathers hand on April 12, 2016 at home. She was born December 21, 1937 the eldest of Joe C. Betts and Evelyn L. Snider. She was preceded in death by her parents; four siblings; two sons, Gregory and Leslie Jordan; and one grandson, Billy James Jordan. Carol was head cook for Highlawn Baptist Church for 15 years. After leaving her cooking job she kept books and helped with her families trucking business, BMJ Trucking Inc. She was a long time member of Grace Gospel Church where she started attending as a child in a tent on the corner. Carol was a great lover of sewing, baking, cooking, flowers and crafting. First and foremost Carol was a Devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Billy Mack Jordan of Huntington; one sister, Vicki Shepard (Mike) of Amanda Park, Washington; one son, Bobby Mack Jordan (Mona); one daughter, Kimberly Faye Hathaway (John); grandchildren, Christy Lewis (Darren), Bobby Jordan (Hyemie), Kattie Walters, Jason Jordan (Angela), Amber Campbell (Ben), Ashley Parker, Joseph Jordan-Hathaway, Afton Reedy (Brent), Jonathan Strong, Allen Strong, Adam Strong, Sabrina Pyle (Brenton), Steve Strong (Amy); and 22 great-grandchildren. Carol opened her home and her heart to raising many family children. Her kitchen was "The Hot Spot" among family and friends, and at lunchtime for years among neighborhood kids. She will be greatly missed by a host of family and friends. A special thanks to Hospice of Huntington for their help and care, and to Mona Jordan and Ashley Parker for the loving care given to her till the very end. Visitation is Monday April 18 from 6 to 8 p.m., for friends. Funeral is April 19 at 1 p.m. at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park, Milton.
