ObituaryJames (Jim) E. Jarvis
James (Jim) E. Jarvis, 75, of Milton WV. went to walk with the Lord on December 3rd 2018. He was born January 30, 1943, in St. Albans WV., a son of the late Melville and Edna Jarvis. Jim was a graduate of Milton High School and Marshall University. He was a deeply spiritual man that took great joy in being a Christian, husband, dad, papaw and friend. Jim was a man of simple tastes with a caring, soft touch to those around him and a gentle sense of humor. He spent over three decades as an educator, influencing countless young people in the public school system both as a teacher and administrator. He was a humble man but rich in the word of God and truly enjoyed studying all the Bible has to offer and then bringing that message to his church, Beulah Ann, in both word and song. He loved music, though never formally trained, taught himself to play the piano, leading him to write and sing several inspired gospel songs and hymns Most of all he loved his family. His trial on earth is finished now, his reward well-earned and his love never forgotten.
