James "Jim" Calvin Durham II
(August 13, 1949 - December 2, 2018)



James “Jim” Calvin Durham II, 69, of Barboursville, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2018. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, December 7, 2018 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Rev. Evan Arkell & Rev. Ron Burnsworth. Graveside services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington. He was born August 13, 1949 in Bluefield, WV, a son of the late James Calvin and Thelma Durham. He graduated from Belfry High School, where he played football for all four years. Jim was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors along with his brothers. He was a devoted husband and father. Jim retired from Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan with 33 years of service. His boss, Don Whitehouse, was one of his dearest friends, amongst many of others. Following his retirement Jim worked 15 years as a security officer at the Huntington Mall. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three sisters, Patricia, Jeanie and Pam. He is survived by his wife, Jean Durham; his sons, James Durham III, Randal Durham, Mark Walls and Michael Kolasa; daughters, Jennifer Bailey and Duwanna Smith; brothers and sisters, Phyllis, Larry, Byron, Jerry and Ron; grandchildren, Courtney, Ryan, Raeonna, Adam, Rj, Dallas, Luke, Peyton, and Victoria; and three great-grandchildren, Hailey, Emma and Zoey. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
