Lynette Ranson Boyes
(November 5, 1937 - January 24, 2019)

Lynette Ranson Boyes, 81, of Huntington, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019. Visitation will be Monday, January 28, from 11 a.m. to noon, followed by the funeral services, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Services will be conducted by Rev. Greg Lunsford. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Memorial Park. She was born November 5, 1937 in Barboursville, a daughter of the late Manford and Thelma McCoy Ranson. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter Boyes. She was also preceded in death by brothers Edward Eugene Ranson, Rodney Kent Ranson, and an infant brother. Lynn was a retired secretary from the Management/Marketing Department at Marshall University, where she had many friends. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Terry Gergely of Ona, WV; sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Teresa Boyes of Milton, WV, and Michael and Abby Boyes of Fayetteville, WV; a brother and two sisters-in-law, Philip and Judy Ranson of Barboursville, WV, and Susan Ranson of Douglas, GA; grandchildren Anthony Boyes, Rachel Gergely, Jeremy Boyes, Allison Gergely and Sarah Boyes; two aunts and two nieces. An avid reader and talented needle crafter before the loss of her vision, Lynn always counted her family as her greatest accomplishment. She dearly treasured her children and their spouses, and was lovingly proud of all her grandchildren. She will live on in each of us. Lynn was a resident of Woodlands Retirement Community, and the family would like to thank the many people there who looked after and cared for her.
