Freda Maye Beckett

Freda Maye Beckett, of Huntington, WV, widow of Arthur Garfield Beckett, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2009, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington. She was born in Cabell County, WV, a daughter of the late William R. and Mary Lou Sias Lucas. In addition to her husband and parents, three sisters and a brother preceded her in death. She was a member of Baptist Temple Church and a fifty year member of Guyandotte Chapter #89 O.E.S. Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Barry A. and Kimberly R. Beckett of Huntington; a very special niece, Judith Russell, her husband Charles, a great niece Kara Eplin; very special friends, Katherine Watson and Brian Coleman; and very special caregivers, Tina, Jennifer, Lee Ann and Jamie. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at White Chapel Mausoleum, Barboursville, with Pastor Ben Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, 3100 Staunton Road, Huntington, WV 25702.
