Joy Marlene Hall
(March 31, 1941 - June 5, 2009)


Joy Marlene Hall, 68, of Huntington, widow of Sydney Ellis Hall, died Friday, June 5, 2009, in Jewish Hospital, Louisville, KY. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at Chapman's Mortuary with Pastor Jerry Matt officiating. Burial will be in Teays Valley Memorial Gardens, Winfield WV. She was born March 31, 1941, in Morgantown, WV, a daughter of the late DeSales Royal and Virginia Harmon Cotter. Also preceding her in death was a sister, Darlene Hall. She was a retired secretary for the Saint Mary's School of Nursing business office, and attended Grace Gospel Church. Survivors include: two daughters, Mari Louise Mathis and husband Larry of St. John, Virgin Islands, and Kathryn Harris of Huntington; two sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy E. and Charlotte Hall of Barboursville, and Thomas W. and Martha Hall of Springfield, KY., six grandchildren, Tish Cornell, Todd Heaberlin, Travis Heaberlin, Tina Freeman, Cassandra Harris and Adam Hall; and five great-grandchildren.
