Mary Lee North
(April 20, 1928 -- June 14, 2009)

Mary Lee North, 81, of Huntington, WV, passed away Sunday at home. She was born April 20, 1928 in Hamlin, WV, a daughter of the late George and Odie Adkins Smith. In addition to her parents, her husband Stanley North and her son, Richard North preceded her in death. She is survived by her stepson, James and Lorna North and family of Tennessee and her granddaughter, Melissa and Grant Gruenbaum and their children, Asrai, Heidi, and Gabriel of Florida. Additional survivors include her Aunt Shermia Lee Jeffers of Huntington; her Uncle Milton Adkins of Florida; and cousins, Avinell Browning, Donarita Stanley, and Gloria McGlone, all of Huntington and Scott Adkins of Hamlin. There are many other cousins surviving. Mrs. North retired from Owens-Illinois in Atlanta, GA. Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, June 19, 2009, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Ernie Ritchie officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Huntington.
