Betty Lou Porter
(July 12, 1931 - June 3, 2009)



Betty Lou Porter, 77, of Huntington, WV., died Wednesday, June 3, 2009 in St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted 2:30 PM Sunday June 7, 2009 at Chapman's Mortuary Huntington by Rev. Ricky Ray. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park. Betty was born July 12, 1931 in Huntington, WV. a daughter of the late Carl Preston & Maybelle Conrad Damron. She was retired from Huntington Banks & a member of the Highlawn Baptist Church. One son Jerry Lee Porter & 1 sister Norma Lee Garretson preceded her in death. Survivors include 1 daughter; Karen S. Carnohan & husband Steve of Helena, AL., 4 sons; Rex H. Porter, Jr. of Weaverville, NC., Ronnie D. Porter & Gary B. Porter both of Tampa, FL., David J. Porter & wife Katrina of Starke, FL, 3 sisters; Eva Powers of Burlington, OH., Frances Flesher & Juanita Kincaid both of Huntington, 3 brothers; Bill B. Damron & wife June of South Point, OH., Laundle "Chuck" Damron & wife Betty of Sebastian, FL., & Ernie F. Damron & wife Arlene of Huntington, 11 grandchildren; Rex A. Porter, Walter B. Porter, Jaimie Naylor, Michael Irby, Lindsay Carnohan, Ronnie Dale Porter II, Adam Porter, Sunshine Brooks Diers, Sarah Manning, Holly Brummet, & Timothy Porter, 10 Great-grandchildren, a special niece & nephew; John & Carla Doyle & a special friend Jim Willett of Huntington.
