Hester Ellen Crowder Golden, 81, of Huntington, WV, died Saturday, November 28, 2009, in St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted 3:30 PM Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, by Pastor Jim Kessick. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Hester was born May 17, 1928 in English, WV a daughter of the late Robert Bruce & Mary Addair Hutchinson. She was a retired Unit Clerk from Cabell Huntington Hospital's Pediatrics with 34 years of service. She was a member of Kanawha Valley Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband Herbert Crowder; one son & daughter-in-law Gary & Sandy Crowder; one grandson Michael Crowder; one brother Clyde Hutchinson; and one sister Hazel Kelly. Survivors include her husband Earl Jackson Golden; four daughters, Mary Gaynell & Kenneth Alford of Ona, Linda & David Grim, Lorrie Kelley & Gina Carr all of Huntington; three sons Douglas & Suzanne Crowder of Pulaski, VA, Gordon & Linda Crowder of Orange Park, FL, & Hugh & Debbie Crowder of Cocoa Beach, FL; four sisters, Frances Hollar, Nadine Hutson, Dorothy Golden and Judy Black; four brothers, Harold, Donald, Billy and Ronny Hutchinson, one step-daughter, Drema Myers of Morgantown; one step-son, David Golden of Brooksville, FL; 13 grandchildren, Linda (Chris) Colt, Douglas (Cindy) Booth, Jonna Bills, David Mac (Leslie) Grim, Jeremy (Stephanie) Crowder, Aimee Stedman, Levi Kelley, Sarah Carr, Amanda Crowder, Brandon Crowder, Becky Smith, Melissa Trainer, & Mark Taylor; 13 great-grandchildren, Katherine, Nathan, Emily, Hannah, Savannah, Abigail, Monroe, Quinn, Hannah, Savanna Rose, Michaelee, Bert & Jessie, and a special friend, Missy Sias. She was loved by all her family and will be greatly missed. Friends may call at Chapman's Mortuary from 6:00 until 9:00 PM Tuesday December 1, 2009.
