Phyllis Joanne Cummings, 71, of Huntington, WV, died Friday November 13, 2009 in St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted 12:00 PM Monday November 16, 2009 at Crossroads Baptist Church by Dr. Jack K. Mayes. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Phyllis was born December 20, 1937 in Huntington, WV, a daughter of the late Hansel & Dolly Bailey Chapman. She was a retired nurse. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Fulton Cummings, Sr., and one brother Ivan "PJ" Chapman. Survivors include 2 daughters & sons-in-law Felecia & John Wilson of Barboursville, & Roberta & Rick Kaiser of Proctorville, OH, one son & daughter-in-law Robert Fulton Cummings, Jr., & wife Erica of Charlottesville, VA, 4 grandchildren, Monica Hoffman of Tamarac, Fl, David Simpson of North Bend, OR, Jeffrey "JR" Preston & Chasity Preston both of Wayne, 4 great grandchildren, Adrianna & Breudan Hoffman, & Annika & Ava Simpson, two sisters, Freda White of Milton & Barbara Spears of Barboursville, two brothers, Darrell Chapman of Salt Rock & Douglas Chapman of Milton and her fianc'e Phillip Mowery of Huntington. Friends may call at Chapman's Mortuary Huntington from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Sunday November 15, 2009.
