Lola May Madden Jones
(January 20, 1932 - August 18, 2013)



Lola May Madden Jones, 81, of Huntington, WV, passed away Friday, August 16, 2013, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Lola May was born January 20, 1932 in Huntington a daughter of the late James and Lula Young Madden. Her husband, Cecil “Zeke” Jones, Jr., and four sisters, Delores Brizendine, Ruth Rhodes, Jean Zirkle, and Mary Madden, also preceded her in death. She was retired from Adel Fasteners and was a 1949 graduate of Huntington East High School. Survivors include: two daughters, Cheryl Edmunds of Barboursville, WV and Bobbi Tomblin of Huntington; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael (Marge) Jones of Huntsville, AL; four grandchildren, Mica (Bill) Clark, Tabitha Hicks, Brooke (Scott) Barker, and Patrick (Erin) Edmunds; two great grandchildren, Ryan Clark and Katie Barker; a brother and sister-in-law, James and Eva Madden of Huntington; two sisters, Pearl Morgan of Orange Park, FL and Sarah Betts of Old Town, FL; sisters-in-law, Debbie (Randy) Dunfee, Sharon (Charles) Shockley, and Jean Hatfield; a brother-in-law, Roger Jones; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, with Dallas Moore officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Tuesday at Chapman’s Mortuary. The family requests flowers or donations may be made to Hospice.
